Expandable, resorbable hemostatic sponge for the treatment of bleeding in the nose, middle ear, and external auditory canal. It serves as a tamponade, compression aid, and hemostatic agent during surgical procedures or in cases of injury.
It is made of hydroxyethyl cellulose1 and is characterized by excellent biocompatibility, a strong hemostatic effect, and high fluid absorption. As it expands, it compresses the wound cavity, thereby aiding hemostasis.
If necessary, the sponge can be trimmed and adapted to the individual anatomy of the nasal cavity. It is completely dissolved within 5 to 7 days, leaving no debris.
